Quique Cesana

Argentina Futbol Association

The Florida Soccer School is proud to announce Professor (Coach) Quique Cesana, of the Argentina Futbol Association (AFA), will be presenting at the 2021 International Coaching Symposium. 

​

Coach Cesana is the physical trainer/coach for the Youth National Teams of Argentina, Argentina Futbol Association. He works together with Bernardo Romeo (AFA General Coordinator), Pablo Aimar (U-17 Head Coach) and Diego Placente (U-15 Head Coach) to provide physical training methodology and implementation for the U-13, U-15 and U17 Youth National Teams of Argentina. 

 

Argentina, Portugal and Uruguay are widely known for being the leaders in the world in physical training preparation and the implementation in football. Coach Cesana is regarded as an expert in his field in Argentina and one of the best and most knowledgeable trainers in the world.

Daniel De Oliveira

Professional Coach & FIFA Instructor

The Florida Soccer School is proud to present to you Daniel De Oliveira a former national team coach, professional coach and FIFA Futuro III Instructor from Caracas, Venezuela.

 

Coach De Oliveira is the former U-15 and U-17 National Team Coach for Venezuela. Under Coach De Oliveira’s leadership the Vinotinto played an exciting brand of football and had a number of impressive victories, most notably when Venezuela defeated Brazil. His teams competed in the U-15 and U-17 CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup Qualification, and the South American U-15 and U-17 Championships.

 

During his time with the Venezuelan youth national teams, Coach De Oliveira was responsible for the nurturing and development of some of Venezuela’s brightest stars; Josef Martinez, Romulo Otero, Juanpi Añor, Fernando Arisiguieta, Alexander Gonzalez and Dani Perez.

 

Coach Daniel De Oliveira holds his CONMEBOL PRO License and is the former Head Coach for Metropolitano FC (Venezuela), Yaracuyanos FC (Venezuela) and Deportivo Petare FC (Venezuela). He also holds his FIFA Futuro III Level 1, 2 and 3 certification and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.

 

His tactical expertise, comprehension of various methodologies, and commitment to player development makes Daniel De Oliveira one of South America’s brightest young coaches and educators. The Florida Soccer School is extremely grateful and honored Coach De Oliveira has taken the time out of his schedule to share his knowledge and expertise with us at the International Coaching Symposium.

Bassam Naim

ANB Futbol Academy Director 

Bassam Naim comes to us from York, Canada where he is the Academy Director for ANB Futbol. ANB Futbol is a private futbol academy located in the greater Toronto, Ontario, area. ANB Futbol is home to approximately 200 players that train year round at the clubs private facility. Through Coach Naim’s leadership, ANB Futbol has quickly become known for producing players that have the ability to play professionally at top clubs in Europe and North America.

​

Most recently, ANB Futbol product Daniel Jebbison made his English Premier League (EPL) debut for Sheffield United against Crystal Palace.  On 16 May 2021, in the next game week, Jebbison received his first start for Sheffield United, and scored his first goal for the club against Everton, becoming the youngest player to score in their first start in the Premier League.

Over the past 15 years, Coach Naim’s has transformed ANB Futbol into club professional scouts from abroad monitor and regularly visit. ANB Futbol has sent over 70 players on trials with European professional clubs and placed players into the following leagues; English Premier League (England), Ligue 2 (France), Division 1 (France), Primeira Liga (Portugal), Terceira Liga (Portugal), BOV Premier League (Malta), Major League Soccer (United States), United Soccer League (United States).

ANB Futbol takes pride in how they educate and train young players. They maximize their players potential through advanced coaching methods and value the development of their players. ANB Futbol has developed a strong relationship with a number of professional clubs and national associations in Europe. Professional coaches and scouts visit the academy annually to observe players in the ANB Futbol Academy. 

​

Prior to ANB Futbol, Coach Naim was the Senior Women’s National Team Coach for Guyana and a coaching director for other clubs in Canada. He also coached in the United Arab Emirates for Al Wahda FC. Coach Naim holds his UEFA “A” license, Canadian “A” license, Brazilian “A" license and speaks English, French, Arabic and Spanish.

Darren Powell

Inter Miami CF 
Director of Player Development

USL Head Coach

The Florida Soccer School is excited to announce Darren Powell from Inter Miami CF (MLS) will be one of our distinguished guests this August. Coach Powell is the Director of Player Development and USL Head Coach for Inter Miami CF.

Over the past few years, Coach Powell has overseen the player development and identification for the Inter Miami CF as they built their Academy and USL teams. Through his guidance, Inter Miami CF has
already had three players signed to MLS Homegrown contracts and over fifteen academy players make their USL debuts. Currently, his team is one of the top teams in the USL Championship while playing
mostly with academy players. Coach Powell believes in developing the youth player and has promoted a number of players to the Inter Miami CF USL team.

Prior to his time at Inter Miami CF, Coach Powell served as the Technical Director and Head Coach of San Antonio FC (USL). As Head Coach, he lead San Antonio FC to its first ever post season berth in the USL
Championship. He also coached and mentored multiple players who received the following honors; USL Young Player of the Year (2019), USL Goalkeeper of the Year (2017) and USL Defender of the Year (2017).
As a result of Coach Powell’s guidance and leadership, his coaching staff received an award for Technical Staff of the Year (2019)

In addition to his time at Inter Miami CF and San Antonio, Coach Powell was the Pro Academy Director for Orlando City SC (MLS). In Orlando, his staff also achieved a number of accolades including the Most
Improved Academy, and Best Style of Play. He also helped develop five players that signed MLS Homegrown contracts and nine players who played for the respective national teams.

Coach Powell brings many years of experience at the highest level of football in the United States and also a comprehensive understanding of how the Inter Miami CF Pro Academy. We are extremely excited to have Coach Darren Powell share his knowledge and experiences at this year’s International Coaching Symposium.

Fabian Coito

Senior National Team Manager - Honduras

Fabian Coito is the current Senior National Team Manager for Honduras. Honduras most recently competed in the Gold Cup. Coach Coito and his team are currently preparing for the third round of CONCACAF Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

 

Coach Coito is originally from Uruguay where he famously led the Uruguayan U-17 and U-20 National Teams to the FIFA World Cup Semi-Final and Finals.

 

In 2011, Coach Coito led the Uruguayan U-17 National Team to the FIFA World Cup Final, ultimately finishing as Runner-Up. In 2017, Coach Coito led the Uruguayan U-20 National Team to a fourth place finish at the FIFA World Cup in Korea.

The Florida Soccer School is extremely grateful and honored Coach Coito has taken the time out of his World Cup Qualifying schedule with Honduras to join us at the International Coaching Symposium.

Richard Paez

Former Senior National Team Manager - Venezuela
Former Senior Team Manager - Millonarios

Coach Richard Páez brings a wealth of knowledge and experiences in football to this year’s International Coaching Symposium.

​

Over the past two decades, Coach Páez has served as the head coach of the Venezuelan Senior National Team (CONMEBOL), Millonarios Football Club (Colombia), Alianza Lima de Peru (Peru), Mineros de Guayana FC (Venezuela) and more.

​

Coach Páez has led teams that competed in 2002, 2006, and 2010 FIFA World Cup CONMEBOL Qualification, Copa America, Copa Libertadores, South American Olympic Qualification, the CONMEBOL Cup, the America Cup, and Copa Venezuela.

​

The Florida Soccer School is extremely excited for Coach Paez share his experiences with Venezuela and Millonarios at this year's International Coaching Symposium.

Bryant Lazaro 

Club Deportivo Cuenca (Ecuador)

Director of Player Development

The Florida Soccer School is proud to present you the youngest American Head Coach to have managed professionally in Europe (32 years of age) while in charge of Oygarden FK in the 2020 Obos-Ligaen (Norwegian First Division).

Coach Bryant Lazaro, originally from Fort Lauderdale, who is currently Head of Player Development at Club Deportivo Cuenca in LigaPro (Ecuador).  

Bryant holds an Argentine CONMEBOL PRO License, from the prestigious Adolfo Pedernera Coaching School in La Plata, Argentina, as well as Spanish PRO Certification. He completed a Master in Talent Identification in Football and an MBA in Sport Management from the Real Madrid Graduate School and then went on to coach for three years in the Levante UD (La Liga) Academy in Valencia, Spain. In 2016, he joined Sevilla FC (Spain) as a coach for the U-21 team. 

​

Shortly after, Coach Lazaro became the first reserve team head coach for the Trosmo IL (Norway) and later went on to manage Alta IF (Norway) before taking over as first team manager for Oygarden FK (Norway).

​

Coach Bryant Lazaro brings a great deal of information and professional experiences in football from Europe and South America. His in depth knowledge of the United States system combined with his professional football background is an exciting combination and we are excited for him to join this year’s International Coaching Symposium.
